How to inspect a used car remotely before export

Most overseas buyers cannot stand beside the car in China. That does not mean they must buy blind. A structured remote inspection can reveal enough detail to make a confident decision or reject a weak unit early.

Request the same photo set every time

A good photo set should include front, rear, both sides, four corners, tires, wheels, engine bay, trunk, seats, dashboard, odometer, VIN or chassis reference where available, and any visible damage.

Consistency makes comparison easier and prevents suppliers from only showing the flattering angles.

Use video for function checks

Video can show startup behavior, dashboard warnings, engine sound for fuel vehicles, charging behavior for EVs, windows, lights, infotainment, air conditioning, and a short movement test where possible.

The goal is not cinematic video. The goal is evidence that reduces uncertainty.

Decide with a condition summary

After reviewing media, buyers should receive a short condition summary: acceptable items, repair concerns, missing accessories, document status, and next action.

This keeps the buying decision clear and protects the relationship if a unit is not suitable.
